David Musson Fencing Ltd is a proud family-run business, established in 1981. For over 40 years, we’ve been supplying quality fencing, timber, landscaping, drainage materials and more to our local community and trade customers. With years of experience in the fencing industry, we’ve built our reputation on great products, competitive prices, and great customer service.

The Role

We’re looking for a full-time Customer Sales Assistant (49.5 hours per week) to join our friendly and hard-working team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our business. You will be helping customers in person, over the phone, and by email, making sure every interaction reflects our commitment to great service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in builders’ or timber merchants and have a proactive attitude. The position offers the chance to develop product knowledge and progression within the company.

What You Will Be Doing

• Welcoming and serving both trade and retail customers.
• Handling customer enquiries and processing transactions.
• Managing cash and till operations.
• Assisting with on occasion yard duties such as stock taking and loading customers.
• Helping with transport and logistics.
• Demonstrating our core values through great service and teamwork at all times.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team interacting with our customers on a daily basis.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in retail or trade sales.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer-facing role.
• An agricultural or equine background (desirable).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• Presentable, reliable, and physically fit.
• A practical, hands-on person who’s not afraid of getting stuck in.
• Someone who can think on their feet and work well in a team.

Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Every other Saturday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
