We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Internal Sales Advisor to join our team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in driving sales across our full range of building materials, so previous experience within a builders merchant sales environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate and competitive quotations for customers.
- Serving customers both face-to-face at the trade counter and over the phone.
- Delivering excellent customer service along with confident, knowledgeable product advice.
- Taking a proactive approach to sales and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
- Building and maintaining long-lasting customer relationships.
- Developing new business with both existing and new customers.
- Upselling and identifying gaps in customer buying patterns.
- Making outbound calls including customer follow-ups and cold calling when required.
- Using CRM and sales systems to manage and track customer activity.
- This role includes working alternate Saturday mornings

Requirements
About You:
- Motivated, positive and self-driven.
- Strong knowledge of building materials is essential.
- Previous sales experience within a builders merchant is required.
- Confident communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
- Able to build strong rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate and comfortable using CRM or sales software.
