Yard/ Warehouse Assistant/ Van Driver

In this role you will work as part of our external team of staff. Saturday working is a requirement for this position, and you will be expected to work alternate Saturday mornings throughout the year.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be required to work as part of the yard and warehouse teams, but also be required to be flexible and make multi drop deliveries to our customers in the surrounding area driving the van/pickup or curtainsider vehicles. When in the yard you will:

Assist customers.

Provide excellent customer service.

Load and unload vehicles.

Pick and check orders.

Store stock safely.

Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

You will work alternate weeks driving the curtainsider vehicle.

You will be working within a close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis, so we are looking for someone that:

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• This varied role will also require working in the warehouse assisting with customer orders.
• Assisting in the yard where needed.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
• A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is preferred.
• Building industry knowledge would be an advantage.
