Join our team at Parkers Building Supplies, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southeast since 1984. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England. We’re expanding our team at our Bexhill Branch and are looking for a dependable Yard Operative/Relief HGV Driver to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers. |
The Role
You will be responsible for receiving stock into the yard and allocating it into the appropriate location in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
Dealing with customer requirements, ensuring required goods are successfully located and loaded as per the customer’s instructions, as well as the completion of the associated administrative processes.
Providing ad-hoc HIAB Class 2 HGV Driving to ensure our goods are transported to customers in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
Specific Experience & Skills Required
- Valid driving license (Category C or Class 2)
- Valid HIAB Certificate
- Valid CPC & Tachograph Card
The Requirements
Builders merchants experience advantageous
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
Strong team player who works as part of a team and independently
Forklift truck license preferable although training can be provided
Hours of Work
Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:00-16:30
Week:2 Monday to Friday 07:00-16:30 Saturday 08:00-12:00
