We’re expanding our team at our Honiton Branch and are looking for a dependable Van Driver / Warehouse Assistant to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

​The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Van Driver/Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Honiton TPS Honiton

The role will involve an element of manual handling, as well as using equipment to load and unload deliveries, interacting with customers to make sure they are satisfied, ensuring the warehouse is kept presented to a high standard.

You will be responsible for the delivery of products to customers, with key accountability for ensuring the quality and timing of service is first class​and working in the warehouse.

There is always plenty to do and a variety of jobs so it is important the candidate can use initiative and is able to manage their time sufficiently.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain the warehouse
• Taking deliveries from suppliers
• Preparing customer orders
•  Stock management 
•  Delivering goods 
•  Working as part of a team
•  Forklift truck driving (training will be given)
•  Daily upkeep of warehouse

The Requirements 

• Driving licence 
• Electrical wholesalers experience 
• Experience in a similar role
• A forklift truck qualification (advantageous)
• Have good verbal communication skills
• Ability to take instructions and work under minimal supervision
• Flexible
• Be organised in prioritising workload effectively
  
• Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
  
• Maintain good knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures at all times

The Hours 

Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00

Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00  Saturday 08:00 to 12:00
