Job description

At Travis Perkins plc, we’re building a more digital, connected business and that means one thing: Cyber security has never been more critical.

We’re looking for an Information Security Operations (SecOps) Manager to lead from the front, owning our operational cyber capability and ensuring we can detect, respond to and stay ahead of evolving threats across a complex, multi-brand environment.

Why this role matters

This is a business-critical leadership role where you’ll shape how we protect our systems, data and customers. You’ll take ownership of our SecOps function, leading a specialist team and partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure our defences are strong, responsive and continuously improving.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and developing a high-performing SecOps team, setting direction and driving performance

  • Owning our cyber incident response capability, ensuring fast, effective action when it matters most

  • Managing and optimising our third-party SOC and Infosec partner relationship

  • Driving our vulnerability management programme across cloud, web and on-prem infrastructure

  • Leading proactive security activity including threat hunting and BAS testing

  • Supporting major programmes and projects to ensure security is embedded from day one

  • Partnering with Governance, Risk & Compliance teams to ensure robust, audit-ready controls

  • Producing clear, insightful reporting and KPIs to inform and influence senior leadership

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a credible security leader who can operate at both technical depth and strategic level.

  • Strong background in information security operations and incident management

  • Proven experience leading teams, suppliers and complex security services

  • Deep understanding of frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, ITIL and GDPR

  • Experience managing high-severity cyber incidents end-to-end

  • Ability to translate complex security topics into clear business language

  • A confident, engaging leader who can influence at all levels

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH are a plus, but real-world impact matters most.

What you’ll get in return

  • The opportunity to shape security across a large, diverse UK business

  • Ownership of a critical function with real visibility and impact

  • A leadership role with scope to drive change and modernise our approach

  • The chance to work with talented teams across technology and the wider business

About us

Travis Perkins plc is one of the UK’s leading distributors of building materials, supporting trade customers across a wide network of businesses. As we continue to evolve digitally, security sits at the heart of everything we do.

If you’re ready to lead, influence and make a tangible impact in a business where security truly matters, we’d love to hear from you.
