Due to continued growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at our Total Plumbing Supplies Chard


The Role

As Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll support the Branch Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the branch. You’ll help lead and motivate the team, improve customer experience, and drive sales and profitability while ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient branch operations.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining customer service, sales, people management, and operational responsibility.

 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting customers at the trade counter and over the phone
  • Assisting with loading and general branch support when required
  • Working alongside the Branch Manager on branch development and customer service
  • Supervising and motivating a team of colleagues
  • Supporting and delivering the branch sales plan
  • Managing stock replenishment and maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Ensuring safe, efficient daily operations and H&S compliance
  • Ensuring the best possible customer experience at all times
  • Providing cover for the Branch Manager when required
  • Carrying out additional duties as required to support the branch

 Working Hours

Week 1:

  • Monday–Friday  07:00–17:00

Week 2:

  • Monday–Friday  07:00–17:00
  • Saturday  08:00–12:00
