Internal Sales Assistant

Brand: Sussex Plumbing Supplies (SPS) — part of IBMG
Location: Hailsham, Sussex
Hours: Full-time, Permanent — Monday to Friday with Saturday cover on a rota basis
Reports to: Branch Manager

The Role

As an Internal Sales Assistant, you’ll support trade and retail customers with plumbing and heating product enquiries, order processing, and sales support, both in person and over the phone. You’ll build strong customer relationships, provide helpful product advice, and help keep the branch well stocked and organised. Working closely with the team, you’ll play an important role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the continued success of the branch.

Requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

✅ Serve trade and retail customers face-to-face and over the phone
✅ Handle enquiries and provide product advice
✅ Process sales using our internal systems (full training provided)
✅ Build strong relationships with customers
✅ Support the team in achieving sales targets
✅ Help maintain stock levels and keep the sales area organised
✅ Assist with stock control and general branch activities when required

What We’re Looking For

✔ Previous customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred
✔ Friendly and confident communication skills
✔ A positive, proactive attitude
✔ Strong teamwork skills
✔ Comfortable dealing with telephone enquiries
✔ Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
✔ Passion for delivering excellent customer service

Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00

Week 3

Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
