Job description

Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our busy and growing team at our Tippers Tool Hire branch in Lichfield. A valid CPC licence is required and may need to use a 3.5 tonne vehicle with a trailer, so a towing licence will also be required.

Job Summary/Overall Scope of Position

· To safely and efficiently deliver and unload goods to customers premises with a constant awareness of Company rules and procedures.

· To collect and bring back expired tool hire equipment as instructed.

· To assist in organising and scheduling deliveries efficiently and accurately.

· To carry out the safe maintaining, testing and servicing of plant and other equipment as required.

· Share responsibility for the regular daily/weekly vehicle checks and the immediate reporting of any incidents, accidents, breakages etc. relating to both the vehicle customer’s vehicles/property and/or goods in transit.

· To assist customers with the aim to promote, improve and increase profitable sales for the Company by creating strong customer relationships.

· Provide an after sales service to customers where necessary, dealing with queries and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.

· To ensure an awareness at all times of Health & Safety regulations and procedures.

· To keep up to-date and aware at all times in respect of all Company procedures relating to all transaction and pricing procedures.

· Maintain good product knowledge.

· Any other duties reasonably associated within this department.

Working hours are 7.00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays 8am till 14 noon
