Established in 1993, Chandlers Building Supplies serves the Southeast with quality materials and a strong focus on customer service. As part of Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG), we offer personal, local support backed by a wider specialist network.

We're looking for a friendly, customer-focused Internal Sales Assistant to join our team at Thanet Branch.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Internal Sales Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping customers, supporting sales, and contributing to the success of the branch.

✅ Serve trade and retail customers face-to-face and over the phone
✅ Handle enquiries and provide product advice
✅ Process sales using our internal systems (full training provided)
✅ Build strong relationships with customers
✅ Support the team in achieving sales targets
✅ Help maintain stock levels and keep the sales area organised
✅ Assist with stock control and general branch activities when required

What We're Looking For

✔ Previous customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred
✔ Friendly and confident communication skills
✔ A positive, proactive attitude
✔ Strong teamwork skills
✔ Comfortable dealing with telephone enquiries
✔ Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
✔ Passion for delivering excellent customer service

Working Hours

Week 1
Monday to Friday: ​07:30 -17:00

Week 2
