Social media strategists assess which social networks will offer the maximum reach and best ROI, then develop plans for each one. Often the role may include other elements of digital marketing such as emailing programmes, website updating, online advertising (Pay Per Click) etc.

Van Driver

Drivers are often one of the few people from a branch or supplier that customers meet, so ensuring they provide a great service is key. Van Drivers carry out multi-drop deliveries to customers in their local area, ensuring the customers’ needs are met. Having product knowledge and an understanding of how the Yard operates is important in this role alongside being able to work unsupervised. It is also important that all drivers are committed to working and driving safely and have a good understanding of road transport and traffic legislation standards.

LGV/HGV Driver

This requires you to be a professional vehicle driver with all sorts of vehicles relevant to your licence. Being compliant when starting your shift and adhering to operational procedures and driving regulations.

Transport/Fleet Manager

Transport is a vital part of any business. Delivering products to customers is a significant part of the service offer, so getting it right and making sure the business is legally and procedurally compliant is a must. Transport Managers are responsible for ensuring this happens through supervising and controlling the transport function, ensuring drivers provide a courteous, responsive, efficient and safe service. Responsibilities involve dealing with all transport-related issues and ensuring communication is regular and consistent throughout the customer journey. This is always a busy and fast-paced environment, and the role works closely with the Yard Supervisor to ensure delivery schedules are met and that the transport function operates smoothly.

Transport Planner

You will be responsible for providing administrative support and guidance about commercial vehicles and plant, LGV drivers, plant operators, company car drivers, occasional drivers, grey fleet and those requiring hire cars. This includes maintaining driver records, checking driving licences, liaising with lease companies re vehicle quotes and orders, updating the transport database re fleet additions, changes etc.

Forklift Driver

You will be responsible for the movement of stock using plant machinery. Loading and off loading vehicles in a safe manner and ensuring stock is secured in a safe and structured way in the warehouse.

Head of Logistics

This role is responsible for the logistics function, helping to establish, develop and deliver on the business strategy and ensuring the logistics team delivers against agreed objectives and meets the demands of the business.

Transport Supervisor

To supervise and control all deliveries, vehicles and drivers, ensuring the provision of a courteous, quick and safe service to all and compliance to transport legislation at all times. You will deal with any transport-related issues in branch and ensure communication is regular and consistent throughout the customer journey.

Driver Trainer

This role is responsible for the internal training and assessment of qualified LGV Drivers and Van Drivers, ensuring all new LGV Drivers and current LGV Drivers are trained in all relevant Safe Systems of Work, specifically relating to loading and unloading of product, crane operations, Driving Safely and Lorry Operations.
