BSS, part of Travis Perkins plc, is looking for a Sales Administrator to join our Toolhire team. This is a fast paced and varied role where you will support branches and customers while proactively generating sales through our toolhire and rehire solutions.

What you’ll be doing

Handling inbound and outbound calls and emails, delivering an excellent customer experience at every interaction

Promoting BSS Toolhire and Rehire solutions to new and existing customers to generate sales opportunities

Preparing and following up quotations and orders to maximise conversion and capture customer insights

Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and BSS branches to support toolhire activity

Providing product guidance and solutions using our fleet equipment and approved supplier network

Supporting tenders, national accounts and account managers with accurate quotations and follow-ups

Resolving customer queries and operational issues quickly and professionally

Tracking daily sales activity, including calls, quotes and orders to identify opportunities for growth
What we’re looking for

Previous experience in sales or customer service, ideally within a commercial environment

Confidence communicating with customers by phone and email

Strong relationship building skills and a proactive approach to sales

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and tasks at pace

Commercial awareness and a desire to identify and close opportunities

Resilience, enthusiasm and a strong customer focus

HGV Driver – Class 1
Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver – 44-Tonne Branch Distribution
Location: BSS Magna Park, Lutterworth
Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday (50 Hours Per Week)
Start Times: 19:00 – 22:00
The Gear: Assigned DAF XF Fleet (All less than 18 months old)
Are you a Class 1 Driver who takes pride in your vehicle and prefers a consistent, organized route? Join BSS, a powerhouse in the Travis Perkins Group, for a dedicated night-shift role that offers stability, modern tech, and a “can-do” team culture.
You won’t be breaking your back with manual unloading here. Your focus is on the drive. You’ll be responsible for:

Efficient Branch Delivery: Completing 3 to 5 multi-drop deliveries per night across our branch network.

Professional Loading: Managing the arrival and positioning of your 44t vehicle for Forklift-only unloading (No handballing required).

Fleet Excellence: Taking primary responsibility for your assigned DAF XF, ensuring pre- and post-shift checks keep our premium fleet roadworthy and compliant.

Compliance: Maintaining accurate digital records and adhering to all road transport and traffic legislation.
What We’re Looking For

License: A valid Class 1 (C+E) license with up-to-date CPC and Digi-Tacho.

Experience: Previous experience with 44-tonne vehicles and multi-drop logistics.

Autonomy: A driver who is comfortable working independently through the night and can resolve on-road challenges proactively.

Mindset: A reliable, safety-first professional. While an FLT license is a bonus, we are more than happy to provide full training if you don’t have one.

Workshop Service Engineer
- Log and inspect returns that are available to Company standards.
- Diagnose repairs and identify parts to be ordered.
- Fleet up new stock ready for branch utilisation following product group processes.
- Ensure that all Branch orders are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor on all service and repair issues which will improve performance and company utilisation targets.
- Strive to achieve a high standard of repair at minimum cost whilst keeping the equipment in a safe condition.
- Knowledgeable of all Hire products and associated materials
- Knowledge of maintenance of electrical, petrol, 2-stroke & diesel driven equipment
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Able to problem solve

- You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
- You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
- Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don’t worry full training is provided
- Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service, we can teach you the rest.
- Someone that is physically active, as this role is located outside, it will involve lifting heavy building materials
- Someone that has a friendly and outgoing personality who is happy to communicate face to face with customers and build strong relationships

What you’ll be doing
As a Customer Sales Assistant, you’ll be the face of our branch, delivering exceptional customer service while prioritising safety for both customers and colleagues.
