What will I be doing?
You will be responsible for the development of profitable sales from both new and existing customers within your region. You will be self driven to maximise the sales and profits from those customers, by delivering sales against target through liaison with key stakeholders.
This is a great autonomous opportunity, where you will support the Regional Sales Manager by maintaining contact with National Account branches within the South West sales area.
What experience do you need?
We are after someone who’s enthusiastic, resilient and resourceful, with a sharp eye for identifying new sales opportunities and a passion for excellence. Being well-organised and planned goes without saying, as you will be responsible for meeting our valued customer expectations.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Proven ability of working within a territory/field based sales role.
  • Built strong relationships with multiple customer and internal stakeholders
  • Proven experience in identifying new sale opportunities and the ability to create solutions for customers, to deliver long term profitable sales growth for both parties

Keyline is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Development Manager to lead our expansion into the Utilities & Power sector. This is a high impact role focused on developing strategic relationships with major contractors, shaping our market approach, and driving long term growth in a critical infrastructure market.

The Role

As Business Development Manager for Utilities & Power, you will take ownership of developing and delivering the sales strategy for this sector, building strong relationships with national and regional contractors while positioning Keyline as a trusted supply partner.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the business to ensure a seamless service for customers while identifying new opportunities to grow market share and strengthen our presence within utilities infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement the Utilities & Power sales strategy aligned to Keyline’s growth ambitions

  • Build strong, long term relationships with national and regional contractors

  • Lead, coach and develop a specialist hybrid utilities sales team

  • Collaborate with internal teams across sales, branches and leadership to deliver an outstanding customer experience

  • Identify new opportunities for growth across existing and prospective customers

  • Resolve challenges proactively by working across internal networks to improve service delivery

  • Align with group sales and wider stakeholders to maximise opportunities across frameworks and national accounts

  • Strengthen Keyline’s credibility within the utilities sector through technical knowledge and customer insight 

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a strategic and commercially focused sales leader who can combine market insight with strong relationship management.

You will likely bring:

  • A proven track record of leading external sales teams

  • Experience developing and growing major contractor or tier one accounts

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to make sound business decisions

  • Excellent influencing and communication skills

  • Experience building and executing sales strategies

  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills

  • Confidence presenting solutions and proposals to senior stakeholders

  • Experience within the building materials, infrastructure or utilities sectors would be advantageous.

Joining our friendly and hard working family as an Yard Sales Assistant, you’ll be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard.  As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.
What will I be doing?

No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but here are a few pointers:

  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service – the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
  • You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
  • Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don’t worry full training is provided
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

What skills do you need?

This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service, we can teach you the rest.
