We recently reinstated an annual whole company event – Proud to Present, having had a break since COVID which involves everyone participating in interesting and fun activities. The theme for this year’s event was Continuous Improvement and Wellbeing.

We also regularly support health awareness initiatives such as the recent mental health awareness week. We encouraged our employees to come together as a community to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote understanding surrounding mental health issues and show our support and solidarity.

ACO are also proud to be a corporate patron of the crash charity which helps homelessness and hospice organisations with their construction projects – creating places that care for people when they’re at their most vulnerable.

Certifications and Mandates:
We achieved a ‘very good’ BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing Certification and aligned with initiatives such as the CEO Water Mandate, UN Global Compact, SBTi, and CO2nstructZero, highlighting our leadership in sustainable practices. Our active membership in the Supply Chain Sustainability School underscores our dedication, incorporating resources into our induction process and promoting supply chain participation.

Decarbonisation Strategy:
Our comprehensive decarbonisation strategy aligns with science-based targets, CO2nstructZero, and UK Government Carbon Budgets, demonstrating our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.

Product Lifecycle Analysis:
By assessing the embedded carbon in over 900 water management products, we address and reduce our environmental impact. Our Carbon Smart range includes our first carbon-neutral product, further demonstrating our resolve to mitigate environmental impacts.

Operational Emissions:
We have reduced scope one and two carbon emissions by 68% since 2015, with a projected 80% decrease in 2023. Our Caxton Road facility exemplifies sustainable operations, using renewable energy, green gas, and electric forklifts to achieve zero scope one and two emissions.

Biodiversity Enhancement:
ACO’s wildlife range and the Habitat Matters mapping system illustrate our commitment to biodiversity conservation, engaging customers and the public in recording biodiversity data for national records.

Employee Well-Being:
