About Home and Trade

At Home & Trade, our business is built on trust, honesty, understanding & respect.

We start by building the above with our customers. Whether they are changing their kitchen, landscaping a garden, having an extension or building a new house, our staff are always there to understand the project and supply our customers with all the materials needed to complete their mission.

We have over 150 years worth of experience across our 5.5 acre site. Our team are trained to be experts so we have expertise in all areas including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, landscaping, extensions, bricks, plumbing & heating…and much more.

We monitor building regulations, pricing & upcoming products to support our customers and ensure we can offer them the best products as well as value for money.

Company culture

Being a Independent merchant, means we do things our way. Our way is built around customer needs. When it comes to customers, colleagues and suppliers….we are in it together!

Each meeting we have is to drive a stronger culture & give each staff member a voice. Every target we set is based on us all achieving it together.

Each department has its own tasks, its own thoughts and ideas. However we collaborate all them thoughts into one journey, together.

All 3 sentences above end in the word ‘together’. One team, one culture, one vision.

Career development and growth

Not only do we do internal training sessions on a monthly basis, we also have leaders in the business who coach their colleagues. This means each department has a ‘lean on’ person to go to.

We invest time, energy & money into each individual to help them see their flight path in Home & Trade, working towards a bigger future that fits both the business needs and their own.

Home & Trade have also committed with the BMF to have three apprentices in the business by 2030. We currently have 1 apprentice who have found their feet in sales & are going from strength to strength.
