About Lords Group – Merchanting
Lords Group Trading Limited (LGT) has established itself as a leader in the materials industry. They specialize in developing and manufacturing materials that meet the evolving needs of various sectors, including building materials and plumbing and heating.
They have experienced strong organic growth but the main driver for the Group’s expansion has been strategic acquisitions. They have acquired 12 businesses in the last 10 years and understand how to successfully integrate teams. LGT has ensured that each of these businesses maintains its heritage and in most of their acquisitions, they work with the previous owners and management.
The Group seeks to grow through a variety of well-considered strategies including, the development of e-commerce combined with continued investment in the business’s logistical capability to support demand from existing and new customers.
They aim to innovate and deliver high-quality materials that drive sustainable solutions, enhance everyday products, and contribute to a better future.

EDI (equity, diversity & inclusion) initiatives
Lords Group is an equal opportunity employer that recognises the importance of diversity and inclusion. Our workplace is for everyone! The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all thrive, contribute, and be forward-thinking. So, bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background and come and join the Lords family.
We are committed to a programme of initiatives to attract more women into our workforce. This wide-reaching strategy includes two specific areas of focus:
• To make Lords a place where everyone can fit in and enjoy work
• Seek to continuously improve colleague morale by making the Group a desirable place to work
To help us deliver these aims we developed a series for KPIs against which to measure progress, including reaching 30% of colleagues being female as a percentage of employees by 2028.
Sustainability / environmental stewardship
ESG is an important focus for Lords Group Trading. Developing and implementing an Environmental, Social and Governance strategy has been a key priority for the Group.
The strategy focuses on three key pillars:
Environmental: We are implementing initiatives to address the environmental impacts, in particular, by reducing energy consumption and the associated carbon emissions.
Social: Being local leaders in our markets comes with the responsibility to give back to and support the surrounding communities.
Governance: ensuring ESG is central to our wider business strategy.
