LEVEL 2 TRADE SALES APPRENTICE (2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

Job description

To provide a reliable and courteous service to customers combined with a positive ‘can do’ and ‘friendly’ attitude. You are required to complete the Builders Merchants Federation Level 2 Trade Sales Apprenticeship. This programme provides valuable experience and training, with a view to securing a full-time position with the company upon completion.

You will be exposed and introduced to all parts of our business and we expect you to engage and assist in all our daily activities under the guidance and supervision of your colleagues.

Requirements

1. Interacting with customers, understanding their requirements and providing them with the necessary product.
2. Assist the branch manager to maintain the required level of sales & profit.
3. Ensuring the proper billing and procurement of payment for the product.
4. Attending telephone enquiries and giving necessary details to customers and taking orders.
5. To obtain good all-round knowledge of company products and services.
6. Inventory management including goods in process, returns, damages & specials.
7. Ensuring the proper storage and replenishment of stock.
8. Assisting in filling purchase orders and other related administration.
9. To undertake any training that may be identified by the company in order to update and improve your performance to further develop your job role. Inc mandatory H&S courses such as warehouse safety, manual handling and basic first aid.

You may be required to perform other duties that may be reasonably expected of you within the company. Amendments may be made to your job description from time to time in relation to our changing needs and your own ability.
