What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Data Engineer & Report Writer with 3+ years of strong SQL experience, deep Power BI expertise, and hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Fabric tenants. In this dual-function role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end data pipelines, manage Fabric environment configurations, build scalable semantic models, and deliver intuitive Power BI reports. You will act as the key technical bridge between backend data architectures and front-end business insights.

Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering

• Design, build, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions across enterprise relational databases and data warehouses.
• Configure, manage, and monitor Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, capacity limits, and workspace architectures (Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Dataflows Gen2).
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Microsoft   SQL to ingest and unify multi-source data into  the data warehouse.
• Enforce enterprise data governance, tenant security, workspace access controls, row-level security (RLS), and object-level security (OLS).

Reporting & Analytics

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements and map complex data requirements to reporting solutions.
• End-to-end design, development, and publishing of high-impact Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and KPI scorecards.
• Write complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and optimized Power Query (M) scripts for performant semantic modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
• Monitor dashboard performance, optimize query execution, and utilize Fabric Direct Lake mode where applicable to maximize query efficiency.
