What You’ll Do –

· Supervise, motivate and lead the Yard Operative team, leading by example and acting as a role model at all times;

· Ensure the yard is maintained in a clean, safe and well organised condition, in line with our H&S practices;

· Ensure that goods received into the branch are correct, and oversee their storage into the correct locations;

· Liaise with the branch in relation to stock levels of yard consumables, and ensure stock levels are sufficient;

· Accurately pick and prepare orders for customers, both manually and through the use of a Fork Lift Truck;

· Carry out deliveries in company vehicles as and when required (subject to correct licences).

Requirements

What We’re Looking For –

· Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not essential;

· Experience in manual handling;

· A genuine team player with a positive attitude;

· A passion for helping our business continue to grow and succeed;

· Knowledge of safe working practices;

· Customer-focused and professional at all times;

· Ideally hold a valid Forklift Truck Licence, or be willing to undertake Forklift Truck Training;

· Previous experience in a builders merchants or in the building industry is desirable, but not essential.
