About the Role

We are recruiting for a Tool Hire Regional Business Development Executive to cover the Southeast region.

This is a field-based role focused on growing sales, securing new business, and developing strong relationships with existing customers across Fairalls, Parkers and Chandlers brands.

You will play a key role in driving sales performance and supporting the long-term growth of our Tool Hire business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within your region
  • Develop and deliver an effective territory sales strategy
  • Promote the full tool hire product range, including new lines and promotions
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve agreed margin targets
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations
  • Plan and manage daily customer visits and appointments
  • Maintain a structured call cycle to maximise sales opportunities
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity
  • Monitor sales performance and margin targets
  • Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ sales experience within the Tool Hire industry (ideally within a builders’ merchant)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Ability to negotiate and problem solve
  • Good knowledge of building materials and hire products
  • Understanding of relevant Health & Safety standards

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
