As an independent builders’ merchant, we pride ourselves on putting the customer first, offering friendly, helpful and professional advice.

 

You will be joining a friendly and experienced team, many of whom have built long-term careers with us and are always happy to share their knowledge. No two days are the same and you’ll be working with both trade and retail customers in our busy Barnoldswick branch.

 

Job Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Driver to join our transport team. This role involves the safe and timely delivery of goods across local routes, ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete vehicle checks before and after shifts
  • Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicle (C)
  • Deliver and collect goods on schedule
  • Ensure loads are secure and compliant with regulations
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork
  • Follow all driving laws, including tachographs and driver’s hours regulations

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Licence (Category C)
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification (preferred)
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous HGV driving experience
  • Good knowledge of local area
  • Strong time management and organisational skills

Hours of Work

Enjoy the security of a full time role with consistent hours

Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5.00pm (45 minute lunch break)
