Oceanair is an award-winning distributor of air conditioning and heating products, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional customer service. We’re looking for a motivated and hands‑on Branch Manager to set up a new plumbing & heating branch within our Mansfield location

MKM is one of the fastest growing independent Builders Merchants in the UK and has acquired Oceanair with a view of expanding its model into the HVAC industry. Oceanair distributes Cooling and Heating products with their technical expertise from design to commissioning being a key lever to their success. In this role, you’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the branch delivers exceptional service, strong sales performance, and a great customer experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead, motivate, and develop the branch team
• Drive sales growth and build strong relationships with trade customers
• Manage stock levels, deliveries, and branch merchandising
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and high service standards
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures
• Take responsibility for branch profitability and performance targets

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong leadership and people‑management skills
• Experience in the plumbing, heating, or merchant sector (preferred)
• Commercial awareness and confidence in driving sales
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A proactive, organised, and results‑driven approach
