We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales / Counter Sales Assistant to join our team in Redruth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales experience, strong product knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service within a busy builders’ merchant environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

✔ Serving trade and retail customers at the counter and over the phone

✔ Proactively identifying sales opportunities and helping customers find the right products

✔ Building and maintaining strong customer relationships

✔ Preparing quotations and following up on sales enquiries

✔ Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently

✔ Providing product advice and recommending suitable solutions

✔ Supporting stock control and general branch operations

✔ Working closely with colleagues to maximise sales and customer satisfaction

✔ Maintaining a safe, tidy, and professional branch environment

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

✅ Previous experience within a builders’ merchant, trade counter, or internal sales role preferred

✅ Strong sales and customer service skills

✅ Plumbing and heating product knowledge desirable

✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

✅ Confidence using computer systems (full training provided)

✅ Positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude

✅ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

✅ Reliable, organised, and results-driven approach

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
