Job description

Part Time, 24 hours per week (3 days), based at our Magna Park or Crosspoint sites.

Our Magna Park and Crosspoint sites keep BSS products moving across the UK, and behind every driver, shift and delivery is a team that needs to be paid correctly, supported well and looked after. We’re looking for a highly organised Supply Chain Administrator to keep both sites running smoothly, working directly with our Head of Distribution.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One minute you’ll be processing overtime ahead of payroll cut off, the next you’ll be helping a manager prepare for a meeting or welcoming a new colleague on their first day. If you like being busy, enjoy being trusted and get satisfaction from getting things right, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing

HR and recruitment support

  • Being the go-to person for colleagues and managers with questions about HR processes
  • Acting as first point of contact for our people services team
  • Onboarding new starters so they get a great first impression of BSS

Payroll

  • Inputting overtime for drivers and other colleagues ahead of payroll cut off
  • Producing the monthly shift allowance report
  • Administering the bonus payment scheme
  • Processing salary changes and shift allowances accurately and on time

Reports and data

  • Running holiday reports when requested
  • Analysing attendance and working with Payroll, HR and ER
  • Completing the monthly Bradford Factor analysis
  • Making sure attendance records match return to work paperwork

Site support and facilities

  • Managing cleaning, vending and meeting room bookings
  • Organising door access cards

Supporting the wider team

  • Helping the Head of Distribution and management team with ad hoc projects, including our Getting It Right awards

What we’re looking for

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle several requests at once
  • Complete confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
  • A proactive problem solver who’s happy to adapt when priorities change
  • A team player who takes pride in accuracy

What’s in it for you

  • Competitive basic salary
  • Bonus earning potential
  • Workplace pension
  • Staff discount
  • Retail discount across hundreds of well known retailers
  • ... and more!

As part of Travis Perkins Group, you’ll have the stability of one of the UK’s leading building materials distributors, with real opportunities to learn, develop and build a career.
