HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver

Job description

Tippers are the Midlands’ leading builders’ merchant suppliers and we are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team at our Shipston Branch. If you enjoy working with customers, take pride in delivering great service, and want to be part of a successful team, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering building materials to local customers safely and on time
• Operating HIAB equipment to load and unload materials
• Providing excellent customer service and acting as an ambassador for the business
• Building strong relationships with customers on your delivery routes
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring your vehicle is maintained to a high standard
• Following all Health & Safety, driver compliance and transport regulations
• Supporting the branch team when required and working together to deliver great service

• Working hours between 7:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday
• Alternate Saturday mornings (8:00am – 12:00)

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• Class 2 (Category C) licence with valid CPC qualification
• HIAB licence preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate
• Positive, hardworking attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Safety-conscious approach with excellent attention to detail
• Reliable team player who takes pride in their work
• Previous builders’ merchant or delivery experience would be advantageous
