The Role
We’re looking for a driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to deliver profitable growth across 7 depots.
You’ll:
- Grow existing customer accounts
- Win new business
- Support branch teams to hit sales & margin targets
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
You’ll also manage your own customer ledger and play a key role in driving revenue, protecting margin, and increasing market share.
Requirements
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales & Business Development
- Deliver sales & margin targets
- Build and manage key customer accounts
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Cross-sell products and services
- Track competitor activity and market trends
Branch Collaboration
- Work closely with Branch & Area Managers
- Share pipeline activity and market insights
- Support branches in converting sales opportunities
Supplier Engagement
- Conduct joint supplier/customer visits
- Promote new products and initiatives
- Maintain strong product and market knowledge
Planning & Performance
- Maintain structured call plans
- Manage and update sales pipeline
- Track key performance metrics
Credit Management
- Ensure customers stay within credit terms
- Work with Credit Control on accounts
- Resolve queries to minimise risk

Experience
- Proven track record in sales growth
- Field-based sales or account management experience
- Strong commercial awareness (pricing & margin)
- Experience winning new business
- Industry knowledge (plumbing/heating preferred)
