Who we are

Sussex Plumbing Supplies keeps the region's plumbers and heating engineers supplied and on the job. Behind every fast counter and on-time delivery is a warehouse that runs like clockwork — and that's where you come in. Part of IBMG but run with the pace and pride of a local branch.

The role

We need a reliable Warehouseman who keeps stock moving and the branch supplied. Goods in, picked, packed and out the door — accurately and on time. It's hands-on, it's busy, and when it's done right, the whole branch runs better for it.

What you'll actually be doing

• ▸Goods in, goods out — receive, check and book in stock; pick, pack and prep orders ready for the counter and the vans.
• ▸Load the vans — get deliveries out accurately and in the right order for the run.
• ▸Keep stock straight — accurate records, help with stock takes, flag the discrepancies.
• ▸Run a tidy warehouse — clean, organised and safe, so things get found fast and nobody gets hurt.
• ▸Muck in — back up the counter and the yard when it's flat out. We're a team, not silos.
• ▸Work safe — follow the H&S procedures and handle the heavy/awkward stuff the right way.

  What you'll bring

• ▸Warehouse, stores or logistics experience (helpful, not essential — attitude matters more)
• ▸Forklift licence (desirable — we'll get you trained if not)
• ▸A solid work ethic and a reliable streak — you turn up and you graft
• ▸Attention to detail — right product, right quantity, right van
• ▸A team-player attitude and a willingness to muck in

What's in it for you

• ★Competitive salary that reflects what you bring to the counter
• ★Generous staff discount across every IBMG brand — kit out your own jobs for less
• ★Company pension and a proper holiday allowance that grows with service
• ★Real progression — most of our managers started on the trade counter or in the yard
• ★Employee Assistance Programme — confidential support whenever you need it
• ★A tight-knit branch team that has your back and a laugh while they're at it
