What’s involved in the role?

A Facilities Manager, or Support Services Manager, oversees the maintenance and operation of buildings and other infrastructures to ensure all facilities are functioning optimally and safely. Their duties include managing maintenance, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, managing building renovations and office moves. They are also responsible for compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Salary

£35k-£45k

Personal skills

You will have had exposure to budgeting and basic accounting, A positive attitude and good communication skills.
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service and strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations and able to work under pressure.
Ability to work on their own, with previous experience of facilities management.
Proficient, at an advanced level, with computers and relevant computer programs.

Entry requirements

Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and a minimum of 2 years experience in facilities

Pathways in

Facilities technician or having previously studied to gain a suitable qualification.
