We’re expanding our team at our Taunton Branch and are looking for a dependable Tipper Driver/Yard Operative to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers

The Role

To safely and efficiently deliver building materials to customers using a tipper vehicle, while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Requirements

Specific Experience & Skills Required

           Driving & Deliveries​

• Driving a 7.5 tonne truck which will require a class 2 driving licence
• ​Safely operate a tipper truck to deliver aggregates, sand, and other bulk materials to customers and sites
• ​Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• ​Load and tip materials safely in accordance with company and legal requirements.
• ​Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately and returned promptly.
• ​Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers on-site.
• ​Comply with all road traffic and Health & Safety regulations
  
  Yard Operation
  

• Assist in loading/unloading vehicles using forklifts or other equipment as required.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain safe and tidy yard areas, ensuring materials are stored correctly.
• Assist customers and drivers arriving on-site, providing friendly and helpful service.
• Report any damages, shortages, or safety hazards to the Yard Supervisor.

The Hours  

• Week: 1 Monday to Friday, 07:30 -17:00
• Week: 2 Monday to Friday, 07:30 -17:00 & Saturdays, 08:00-12:00
