Yard Supervisor

Job description

Our branch in Weston-Super-Mare now has a vacancy for a Yard Supervisor. The role of Yard Supervisor is provide support to the branch management and leadership teams, helping to achieve branch sales as well as reach profit & margin targets.

In this role, you will supervise the yard ensuring that the team provides a friendly, helpful and responsive service to our customers. You will be responsible for all required aspects of Health & Safety, the loading and unloading of supplier vehicles as well as our own vehicles, as well as ensuring the accurate picking of orders for delivery.

Experience of working in a similar customer-focussed environment, along with some basic people management skills and the ability to promote great teamwork are key. We also want to know about your commitment to Health & Safety and ability to get the job done. Previous experience of driving a forklift truck is preferred however not essential as training can be provided.
