Join our team at CRS Building supplies, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southwest since 2005. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England.

We’re expanding our team at our Watchet Branch and are looking for a dependable Internal Sales Assistant / Yard Operative to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

​The Role

We are looking for a motivated Internal Sales & Yard Assistant to join our CRS Watchet Branch team. This is a varied role combining customer service, internal sales support, and hands‑on yard duties. You’ll play a key part in delivering excellent service and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the branch.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Serve customers face‑to‑face and over the phone, handling sales and enquiries professionally
Support the internal sales team to meet and exceed targets
Develop strong product knowledge to advise customers accurately
Pick, load, and unload stock for customers and deliveries
Maintain tidy, safe, and organised yard and stock areas
Assist with stock control and general branch duties
Use computer‑based sales and stock systems (training provided)

What We’re Looking For

Previous customer service, sales, retail, or yard experience preferred
Friendly, confident communicator with a customer‑focused attitude
Team player with a proactive and reliable approach
Comfortable handling telephone enquiries
Basic computer skills
Willingness to support both sales and yard functions
Desirable (but not essential)

Forklift licence
Full UK driving licence
Trade or product knowledge

The Hours

Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00

Week: 2 Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
