Job description
Sales Person – NDI Birmingham - Build relationships, grow your product knowledge, and help every customer get exactly what they need.
At NDI, we believe the best ideas come from the people who work closely with our customers every day. Our teams are our greatest asset, and we’re committed to supporting, developing, and empowering them to be their best - today and tomorrow.
As a Sales Person, you’ll be right at the heart of the action - chatting with customers, solving problems, and making sure they get exactly what they need. If you’ve got experience in sales and know your way around a builder’s merchants, that’s a big plus - but if you’re keen to learn and ready to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Helping customers with their orders - making sure they leave happy
- Keeping things safe and tidy - running smoothly in the branch and on site
- Being one of the friendly faces of NDI - building trust and great service
- Working closely with your teammates to get the job done
- Looking after your own customer accounts - experience with ledgers is a bonus!
- Building solid relationships with our suppliers
We’re happy to explore flexible working options. Feel free to chat with us about it during the interview. While we might not be able to meet every request, we’ll always listen with an open mind - and there’s no judgment in asking.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re not just looking at your CV – we’re more interested in your attitude and energy. If you’re someone who enjoys staying organised, loves helping people, and thrives in a busy team, you’ll fit right in. We want someone reliable, ready to step in, lend a hand, and keep things moving with a positive attitude.
What’s In It For You:
We believe great work should be recognised and rewarded. Here’s what you can expect:
- A strong annual leave allowance, alongside your bank holidays
- Company bonus scheme, based on performance
- Contributory pension and life assurance
- Discounts on high street retailers, supermarkets, restaurants, gyms and cinemas
- Colleague discount across our group brands
- Attraction and travel discounts
- Training and development programmes to support your growth
We offer on-the-job training and opportunities to work towards recognised qualifications, including apprenticeships.
At Huws Gray, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce makes us stronger, smarter and better at serving our customers.
We’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace, whether you’re based in one of our branches, on the road or in one of our offices.
If you need any adjustments to support you through the application or interview process, please let us know.
