Account Director

CCF is one of the UK’s leading distributors of insulation, ceilings and drylining, and this role owns our relationships with the customers who matter most. You’ll report to the Regional Sales Director and take a defined portfolio of key accounts from where they are now to where they should be.

Share of wallet is the measure. You’ll know exactly what each customer buys from us, what they buy elsewhere, and what it will take to change that.

What you’ll be doing

  • Growing profitable sales across a portfolio of key accounts, with a consistent service and contact strategy behind every one
  • Hitting sales and profit targets by customer, by product range, and reporting on both with real clarity
  • Increasing share of wallet, which means knowing your customers’ businesses well enough to see the gaps they haven’t mentioned
  • Influencing stakeholders across CCF so centrally agreed strategies actually land, rather than getting diluted on the way
  • Working with Commercial and Inventory on product, stocking and availability
  • Researching new product and market opportunities and bringing the findings back with a recommendation attached
  • Monitoring service measures and reporting progress
  • Supporting the Regional Sales Director on business development and market research
  • Leading by example on our Stay Safe culture, and bringing colleagues with you

What we’re looking for

  • Strong external sales experience, with a track record in relationship and supplier management
  • Real key account experience, ideally in construction, merchanting or distribution
  • A confident negotiator who can hold the commercial line and keep the relationship
  • Analytical and numerate. Comfortable in the detail, organised, and able to build a case from data
  • Someone who influences without authority and can move stakeholders across a business
  • Management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop others
  • The self direction to run your own diary and priorities without being managed closely
  • Full UK driving licence

What you’ll get

  • Competitive basic salary
  • Bonus structure
  • Company car
  • Pension scheme which grows with length of service
  • All the perks and benefits you would expect from an industry leading employer
  • A senior seat in a growing business, with the backing of Travis Perkins Group behind you

CCF is part of Travis Perkins Group. We’re building a team that reflects the customers and communities we serve, and we welcome applications from everyone. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, tell us and we’ll sort it.

Account Manager

At CCF we supply the insulation, ceilings and drylining that go into the buildings people live and work in. This role puts you in front of our highest spending customers, with a ledger of your own and the freedom to decide how you grow it.

This isn’t order taking. You’ll be the person your customers ring first when a project lands, because you understand their business well enough to solve the problem before they’ve finished describing it.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning a ledger of key accounts across your territory, building genuine relationships with the decision makers who matter
  • Making CCF the first call across every product category, not just the categories you’re already winning
  • Hitting sales and profit targets on existing accounts and bringing new business through the door
  • Negotiating full terms packages and making the commercial calls on customer and project activity
  • Building many to many relationships so accounts sit with CCF, not just with you
  • Tracking projects, customers and market movements so nothing lands as a surprise
  • Reading the market properly: who’s competing and what’s shifting
  • Supporting and mentoring sales colleagues around you

What we’re looking for

  • A track record in sales management, ideally somewhere in construction, merchanting or distribution
  • Someone data led. You look at the numbers, spot the gap, and adjust
  • A strong negotiator and an even better listener
  • Comfortable at pace and under pressure, and confident in a difficult conversation
  • Commercially sharp, with a clear view of the customer and the competition
  • Full UK driving licence

Sector experience is a bonus, not a barrier. If you can sell, manage a ledger and build trust with people, we can teach you the products.

What you’ll get

  • Competitive basic salary
  • Strong bonus earning potential
  • Car allowance
  • All the perks and benefits of working for an industry leading employer
  • The backing of Travis Perkins Group, one of the UK’s largest builders’ merchants, behind a brand with room to grow

CCF is part of Travis Perkins Group. We’re building a team that reflects the customers and communities we serve, and we welcome applications from everyone. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, tell us and we’ll sort it.
