We’re looking for a customer-focused, safety-conscious HGV Driver to join the team at our Kings Langley branch. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation, delivering building materials safely, efficiently and with great service — every time.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering building materials to customer sites across the region
  • Loading and unloading vehicles and ensuring accurate stock movement
  • Operating a crane (HIAB) safely and in line with regulations 
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reports
  • Keeping your vehicle clean, safe and well presented
  • Providing excellent customer service on every delivery
  • Completing delivery paperwork and handling returns correctly
  • Supporting the wider branch and transport team when required

What we’re looking for

  • Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence and Driver CPC
  • HIAB licence (brick grab) preferred, or willingness to train
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar multi-drop role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Confident navigating local delivery routes safely and efficiently
  • Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
  • High standards of safety, timekeeping and presentation
  • Due to the location of the branch you must have your own, reliable transport
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, 7am–12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 21 days plus Bank Holidays

Are you a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver looking to join a friendly, hardworking team? Do you enjoy being out on the road, providing excellent service and playing an important part in a busy branch? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for a Van Driver to join our Kings Langley branch. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering building materials safely and efficiently in a 3.5t dropside vehicle, while supporting the wider branch team to ensure excellent service for our customers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customers across the local area.
  • Picking orders and loading and unloading your vehicle safely and accurately.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and reporting returns, shortages or discrepancies.
  • Collecting payments where required in line with company procedures.
  • Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.
  • Providing outstanding customer service and representing Lords professionally at every delivery.
  • Following all road traffic legislation, company driving policies and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Supporting stock movement and assisting with general branch duties when required.

What we’re looking for

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in a delivery driving role, ideally within builders’ merchants or a similar industry.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable, organised and able to manage your workload effectively.
  • Good awareness of health and safety and safe manual handling practices.
  • A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
  • Strong timekeeping and a professional approach.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

As a Tool Hire Driver and Workshop Operative at Travis Perkins, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Hire Manager, ensuring full compliance with mechanical and electrical processes, and carrying out repairs and testing on tools and equipment to meet our Hire standards. 

What will I be doing

  • Testing, repairing and preparing hire tools and equipment so they’re safe, compliant and ready for customers

  • Supporting the Hire Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the department

  • Delivering and collecting a wide range of tools and equipment 

  • Building strong customer relationships, understanding their needs and offering expert advice

  • Following all safety procedures, audits and compliance requirements, safety is at the heart of everything we do

What experience do I need

Experience in the Plant and Hire industry or knowledge of electrical, petrol or diesel equipment is helpful, but not essential. We welcome transferable skills such as strong customer service and sales experience. A full clean UK driving licence is required.
