The Opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Pricing Analytics & Modelling: Developing, maintaining and enhancing predictive models that power price guidance, margin performance, supplier support analysis, and cost to price pass through metrics.

  • Price Guidance & Quantile Analysis: Analysing transaction data, customer behaviour  and product tiers to refine quantile based pricing structures and optimise price execution.

  • Statistical & Regression Analysis: Applying statistical methods and regression techniques to model commercial relationships, uncover margin trends and evaluate pricing strategies.

  • Dashboard & Visualisation Development: Building clear, interactive and automated analytical outputs for commercial stakeholders using tools such as Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • AI-Assisted Coding & Automation: Leveraging AI tools (preferably Gemini) to streamline coding workflows, automate testing, maintain documentation and speed up analytical iterations.

  • Commercial Insights & Recommendations: Translating complex mathematical and statistical findings into practical, commercially grounded advice for Branch, Sales and Finance teams.

  • Data Quality & Governance: Validating, reconciling and auditing pricing data across core systems to safeguard data integrity and ensure highly dependable commercial decisions.

  • Supplier Support & Rebate Analysis: Analysing cost changes, rebate structures, and vendor support data to drive superior gross margin outcomes.

About You

You’ll be a curious, careful, and collaborative analytical practitioner who balances statistical rigour with fast paced commercial delivery.

Essential

  • Degree level qualification in Data, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Operational Research, Engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline.

  • Strong SQL proficiency and practical Python coding capabilities.

  • Proven capability in using AI tools (Gemini preferred) to speed up code development, debugging and testing.

  • Demonstrated experience in regression analysis, quantile analysis and managing complex structured datasets.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical teams.

  • Advanced spreadsheet capability alongside an understanding of data quality, validation and governance standards.

  • Self starter mindset with the ability to manage tasks independently, work through ambiguity and comfortably challenge assumptions when the data does not support them.

We’d Particularly Like to See

  • Master’s degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline.

  • Prior experience within a pricing, finance, commercial, merchanting, retail, or B2B distribution environment.

  • Hands-on experience developing dashboards in Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau, alongside experience with GCP, BigQuery, or automated data pipelines.

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques, clustering algorithms, LFL metrics and rebate/margin bridge analysis.

The Opportunity

About You

The main responsibilities of this role are to service, maintain and repair a range of electrical, petrol and diesel drive equipment within the hire fleet, whilst ensuring standards of equipment in the hire fleet are of the highest quality at all times, always within company policies.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Log and inspect returns that are available to Company standards.

  • Diagnose repairs and identify parts to be ordered.

  • Fleet up new stock ready for branch utilisation following product group processes.

  • Ensure that all Branch orders are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

  • Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor on all service and repair issues which will improve performance and company utilisation targets.

  • Strive to achieve a high standard of repair at minimum cost whilst keeping the equipment in a safe condition.

This is not a back office number-crunching job. It is hands-on, high-visibility work that shapes how the business manages its product and supplier information for years to come.

This is a HYBRID position, being based at either Magna Park, Lutterworth, or Crosspoint in Coventry

What you’ll be doing

You will be the person who turns raw, messy data into something the business can actually trust and act on. Day to day, that means:

  • Using automated tools to extract master data from primary and secondary sources, then analysing it to understand and improve data quality

  • Owning data governance, including managing dependencies across projects and the wider TP Group

  • Keeping the project on track by monitoring the schedule and phasing, flagging progress and challenges clearly along the way

  • Supporting the business with data cleanse activities using internal software and portals

  • Translating stakeholder requirements into clear reporting documentation, and preparing final analysis reports that help leaders make confident, fact-based decisions

  • Supporting the wider group on a single solution for product and supplier master data management

  • Running user acceptance testing across the data stream, including documentation, communication and issue resolution

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Previous experience working in a data environment, with good business acumen and a real appreciation of data governance
