What you’ll be doing

As the new Hire Manager at the Stoke branch, you’ll be at the forefront of driving success and hitting key targets! This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven, customer-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you’re ready to take charge and make an impact, this role is for you.

Your main responsibility will be to develop and execute a sales action plan that exceeds budget performance through a proactive sales approach. You’ll play a key role in supporting the integration of Hire into the wider Travis Perkins branch, enhancing the knowledge and understanding of the services available to our Branch colleagues. This includes providing training and coaching where needed, in close collaboration with the Travis Perkins Branch Manager.

Based in our bustling Stoke branch, you’ll lead a small team of people and oversee a fleet of one vehicle . With a high-energy, high-traffic environment, you’ll have a loyal customer base and all the resources you need to succeed and shine.

Dispatch Manager


Role Overview

The Dispatch Manager will lead and coordinate the dispatch operation within a fast‑paced distribution centre, ensuring that all orders are accurately picked, loaded, and dispatched on time, so that delivery vehicles leave fully prepared for first‑thing departures. The Dispatch Manager leads a team of pickers and loaders, driving performance, safety and compliance while maintaining exceptional service levels.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and lead the daily dispatch operation to ensure all delivery vehicles are loaded correctly and ready to depart on schedule. 
  • Supervise, motivate and develop a team of pickers and loaders, ensuring productivity, accuracy and engagement. 
  • Plan and allocate labour and resources to meet workload demands, especially during peak periods. 
  • Ensure all orders are picked, checked and loaded accurately in line with delivery schedules and customer requirements. 
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with company and legal regulations. 
  • Monitor KPIs including on‑time despatch, picking accuracy, productivity, shortages and damages. 
  • Investigate and resolve dispatch issues, shortages or delivery discrepancies promptly and effectively. 
  • Liaise with Transport, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth end‑to‑end operations. 
  • Ensure paperwork, scanning systems and despatch documentation are completed accurately and on time. 
  • Drive continuous improvement within the despatch function, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct daily team briefings and shift handovers. 
  • Coach and train team members to improve performance and flexibility.

  • Actively promote clearance of slow-moving or discontinued products to optimise stock levels. 
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to support product knowledge and availability. 
  • Build working knowledge of sales operations, warehouse processes, stock management, and credit systems as part of ongoing development in the role.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who you are

  • Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.

  • HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? No problem! We’ll fund your HIAB training.

  • Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.

  • Safety-focused: You’ll prioritize safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.

Assistant Branch Manager


As an Assistant Branch Manager for TF Solutions you will be responsible for assisting the Branch Manager ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the branch, achieving sales targets and providing through a collective effort the highest possible customer service. You will deputise in his/her absence and have responsibility for the day to day management of branch colleagues.

Your key accountabilities include

  • Stay Safe – proactively support the Branch Manager with all Health and Safety matters and

ensuring that the stay safe culture is upheld within the branch by taking action where necessary.

  • Developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers in order to build profitable business growth. Build regular, productive and focused contact with the wider team in order to drive value add to the customers

  • Controlling stock management within the branch, including updated buying directives, and

ensuring that the correct procedure is adopted when placing all orders for branch stock 

  • Maintaining a close liaison and dialogue with the Branch Manager, keeping him/her

informed on all such matters that may affect the smooth running of the branch.

  • Deputising for the Branch Manager in his/her absence complying with Company

policies and procedures to cover all aspects of operational duties.

  • Ensuring the highest standards are maintained in the branch at all times, preventing

loss or damage, also in respect of staff performance, good housekeeping and strict

observance of Company policies and procedures.

  • Providing excellent service to the customer identifying products required and offering

alternatives if necessary to profitably maximise the sale of goods.

  • Conferring with customers and representatives of associated industries to ensure high

levels of customer service whilst maintaining focus on supporting the Branch Manager to

maximise the sales and profitability of the Branch.

  • Assisting the Branch Manager in the development of all team members.

  • Responsible for Branch security and opening and closing of the Branch in the absence of the Branch Manager or as delegated by the Branch Manager.

What we are looking for

You will be someone who is excellent at work with a minimum of supervision and with great interpersonal skills and customer service skills. You will have had supervisory experience and the ability to manage your own time and work with initiative.

You will have sales experience ideally within the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry, and be able to prioritise your workload and others.  You will have a winning mentality, with a positive, can do attitude and have a real passion for people and the customer experience.
