Adaptavate is an award winning company rethinking and redesigning the way building materials are produced, used and disposed of. They are innovating and designing low-carbon construction products for healthy buildings and inhabitants which help ensure the longevity of our fragile ecosystem whilst surpassing the performance of market leading products.

By taking an innovative approach to the design and manufacture of construction products they endeavour to clean up and breathe a breath of fresh air into the Building Materials sector. They aim to produce these progressive materials at the scale needed to have a significant positive impact on the health of people and planet.

Their story starts in 2015, when Adaptavators Tom and Owen were trialling mixes for Breathaboard – the low-carbon, breathable plasterboard. Using natural additives, they tested different combinations until they produced something they were satisfied with; a high-quality range of breathable plasters: Thermal, Universal and Smooth. This has now gained the UK Conformity Assessed marking and ISO 9001 certification, along with being part of national distribution networks.

Adaptavate are on a mission to provide carbon negative building materials for the mainstream. They’re how we will build better.
