Account Manager

Job description

At CCF we supply the insulation, ceilings and drylining that go into the buildings people live and work in. This role puts you in front of our highest spending customers, with a ledger of your own and the freedom to decide how you grow it.

This isn't order taking. You'll be the person your customers ring first when a project lands, because you understand their business well enough to solve the problem before they've finished describing it.

What you'll be doing

• Owning a ledger of key accounts across your territory, building genuine relationships with the decision makers who matter
• Making CCF the first call across every product category, not just the categories you're already winning
• Hitting sales and profit targets on existing accounts and bringing new business through the door
• Negotiating full terms packages and making the commercial calls on customer and project activity
• Building many to many relationships so accounts sit with CCF, not just with you
• Tracking projects, customers and market movements so nothing lands as a surprise
• Reading the market properly: who's competing and what's shifting
• Supporting and mentoring sales colleagues around you

What we're looking for

• A track record in sales management, ideally somewhere in construction, merchanting or distribution
• Someone data led. You look at the numbers, spot the gap, and adjust
• A strong negotiator and an even better listener
• Comfortable at pace and under pressure, and confident in a difficult conversation
• Commercially sharp, with a clear view of the customer and the competition
• Full UK driving licence

Sector experience is a bonus, not a barrier. If you can sell, manage a ledger and build trust with people, we can teach you the products.
