Company Secretary
What’s involved in the role?
The Company Secretary acts as the shareholders first point of contact with your company. Responsible for the distribution of company announcements including correspondence regarding dividends, registration of share ownership, transfers and other areas relating to shareholdings. A company secretary ensures that a company complies with financial and legal requirements, as well as maintaining its high standards of corporate governance. Although not strictly required to provide legal advice, a company secretary will need to have a thorough understanding of the laws that affect the areas of work involved in the company they work for.
