Branch Manager
What’s involved in the role?
Branch people and operations will often be the key driver of goals alongside business growth. With a clear understanding of people management and sales margins – understanding your P&L. Leading a team to deliver great customer service through excellent product knowledge and engaging communication. A branch manager will also be responsible for H&S and the wellbeing of their team.
Salary
£42 – £55k (Experience and size of branch)
Personal skills
Excellent Communication Skills are essential in this role as well as experience working to challenging targets. You will able to demonstrate an aptitude for success through confidence, accuracy and team work to ensure achieve.
Using Market intelligence and analysing Stock Profiles and Sales trends to anticipate future direction. You’ll have good all-around knowledge in many areas of operations, and be able to make relevant recommendations to help improve the branch operation, whether it’s health and safety, sustainability, project management, quality & compliance, customs & excise or anything else.
Entry requirements
A proven Manager/Assistant Manager from the world of builders’ merchants, timber merchants or perhaps from specialist distributors in the building materials supplies sector. Ideally, you will have run your own branch previously as strong management experience is crucial.
