Operations Director
What’s involved in the role?
The Operations Director brings to life the Company Vision & Strategy to deliver budgeted sales and margin across all branches. They maximise efficiencies across all aspects of branch operations whilst minimising costs where appropriate.
Ensuring that business controls and compliance are maintained to Company standards and that all aspects of H&S legislation are adhered to. Links closely with the Finance team to support optimum stock turn and ensure debtor levels are controlled to maximise cash flow opportunities.
Close linkage with the Commercial team to support sales and marketing initiatives along with new product development and networking across the industry to remain fully aware of what is happening in the marketplace.
Salary
£75k+

Good communication skills as the role of operations director involves constant communication with company employees and stakeholders. Operations directors need excellent written and verbal skills, so they can successfully convey their messages and help all involved parties understand their expectations. Considering the high complexity of the role and the vast support needed for company-wide operations, problem-solving abilities are essential. Besides having the ability to correctly and accurately assess various situations, operations directors also need the decision-making skills required to choose between seemingly similar actions and outcomes.
Entry requirements
Employers will likely seek candidates with extensive leadership experience of 10 years or more. Relevant professional experience may include positions in lower-level management.
